Pretty Gardens

On Monday after the wedding we all went to the Botanical Gardens. They're so pretty. Honestly, my favorite part was after lunch when I gave myself a time-out from my unruly children (lunch really was horrendous) and sat in the gardens by myself. There are lots of little benches tucked away in corners where you can just sit and hear nothing but flowing water. So peaceful. I think I could use a return trip. The Wedding

Our whole reason for visiting the Midwest was that my youngest sister-in-law, Sarah, was getting married in St. Louis. I was personally thankful that we didn't arrive until the night before and the set-up was finished! And I think everyone was praising the skies for not opening up and pouring down on us that day. We actually had perfect conditions for some great pictures.

These first three are courtesy of Uncle Christian. I asked him if I could just hire him to take pictures of my kids at all family events since I am a neglectful mother. He said he'd just do it anyway. Love that guy.

The wedding was lovely. Until I got sick in the middle of the reception. I seem to get sick on two out of every three vacations. It's really not fair. I spent all of Sunday morning asleep and all of the afternoon in bed reading. And now, two weeks later, I still have my cough.

Sunday, May 16, 2010

We had a normal, quiet Sunday today. It was so welcome after all the hustle and bustle of the last few weeks. We've been home from our trip to the Midwest for almost a week now and we leave again in another week for Disneyland. Hopefully I will get all of my first vacation pictures up before we leave on the second one!
